ART395 Introduction to 3D Animation

Course Abstract

This course exposes you to all the facets of 3D Animation by introducing and explaining its tools and functions to help you understand how 3D Animation operates. You will do several hands-on examples and tutorials that give you first-hand experience with the tool Maya. Working through these you will acquire skills as well as knowledge. This course exposes you to various ways of accomplishing tasks with this intricate and comprehensive artistic tool for 3D Animation.

This course also explains workflow, not only how specific 3D Animations are accomplished but why that is, how they fit into the larger process of producing 3D animation films. By doing that, this course should give you the confidence to venture deeper into 3D Animation feature set on your own or using any of other 3D Animation tools and courses as a guide.

Above all, however, this course aims to inspire you to use 3D Animation tool as a creative tool to achieve and explore your own artistic vision.
