CIS509 Knowledge Engineering Course Abstract The major objective of this course is to educate students about the knowledge engineering process and expert systems. The theory and programming skill are both emphasized in the class. The ways knowledge are represented are discussed. Lots of sample expert systems are surveyed. Then, the class will use a popular tool: CLIPS: a rule-based expert system building language, designed by NASA, to implement class project. The class will discuss CLIPS in details.
